SQL Server 2008 Installation Step

If you are doing a SQL Server 2008 installation i.e. you are installing SQL Server 2008 for the machine or PC, below are the steps are follow.
Step 1: SQL Server 2008 Setup Download and Open download folder and you will see setup file select and double click as shown below.

Select Download Setup and Right click on the setup than select run it as Administrator.
Step 2: SQL Server Installation Center open and select new SQL Server Option.

Go to SQL Server 2008 installation section, here you will find some options to install instance and select add new features and upgrade your SQL Server 2008. As we’re doing a SQL Server 2008 installation, we will select first option show in below i.e. “New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation”.
Step 3: Setup Support Rules and read than follow next step.

Here all setup Status is passed check to ensure whether you can proceed with the SQL Server 2008 installation or not. If check fails at any step listed in the service rules, you won’t be able to continue and press OK the SQL Server 2008 installation.
Step 4: Editions and Product Key (Optional).

Here it will select you want to install edition on your machine or PC on server. If you want to select choice specific express edition, no required specify Product Key. Product Key is optional. Click Next
Step 5: License Term SQL Server 2008.

Click on checked “I accept the license terms” SQL Server 2008 and click on Next.
Step 6: Setup Support Files SQL Server 2008.

At this step SQL Server 2008 Setup looked and all required components auto check for SQL server step during installation. After successful check you will press Install button to proceed further next instruction step. press on the Install Button.
Step 7: Setup Support Rules for identify problems that might occur.

Again it will run the setup rules to identify problems that might occur when you install SQL Server step support files during SQL Server 2008 installation. If all status get and passed result it is a good signal to proceed further and any fails is status is display passed, failed, warning, skipped numbers of service on SQL Server 2008, you won’t be able to proceed further with installation and check details and solve this problem. If status is passed and warning is ignore and click Next.
Step 8: Feature Select the enterprise features to install.

Click Next and after this, all features are select the steps are required service is checked shown in above SQL Server 2008 installation. All service proper install after successful installation SQL Server 2008 you will get the following window.

Now we have successfully installation is completed SQL Server 2008 version on our machine or PC.

installation is completed than check SQL Server service in this machine or PC under SQL Server Configuration manager in see image.

Click Start button and type SSMS name as shown below and select the SQL Server Management Studio.

Connect to your default SQL Server 2008 instance server name is your system or PC default name and SQLEXPRESS.
